Skipping or gapping when recording the audio output of another application

If you're recording the playback from another program, like a MIDI sequencer or any other audio program, and you experience small drop-outs, skipped audio or gaps in the recorded audio, try turning off the high priority threads option.

In Mixcraft 4 and above, click on the File menu and select Preferences. In the Sound Device settings, turn off the option called "Use High Priority Threads for Audio Engine."

Now see if you can record the audio from the other program with no problems.
