Exclusive mode prevents other programs from using audio while Mixcraft is running in order to provide better audio performance and potentially lower latency.
If you're not using WaveRT exclusive mode, then try this:
Go into Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences and see which sample rate you're using. Make sure it matches the one you're using for Windows. Here's how to find the sample rate you're using in Windows (assuming it's Windows 10):
1. Right-click on the small volume control icon in your Windows task bar and select Open Sound Settings.
2. In the upper right area of that screen find Sound Control Panel and select that.
3. Right-click on your default playback device for Windows and select Properties.
4. On the Advanced tab you'll find the sample rate setting.
For Windows 11:
1. Right-click on the small volume control icon in your Windows task bar and select Sound Settings.
2. Scroll way down until you see More Sound Settings and click on it to bring up the Sound control panel.
3. Right-click on your default playback device for Windows and select Properties.
4. On the Advanced tab you'll find the sample rate setting.
