A component of the Stem Separation feature (Tensorflow) requires AVX instruction support, and not all CPUs support AVX. We're looking into possible workarounds for this issue, but this is the reason why a few people are able to install the stem separation files correctly, but still can't use it.
Here are a few examples of processors that don't support AVX:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5620
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N3050
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 650
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 330
You can google your processor's specs to see if your computer supports AVX.
Notes:
1. The stem separation feature is only available in the Pro Studio edition of Mixcraft.
2. Stem separation is installed as three updates after the initial Mixcraft Pro Studio install.
3. It appears as a right-click option for audio clips.
4. It was introduced in Mixcraft 10.5 Pro Studio.
