Are LightScribe discs safe to touch when I remove them from the drive?

Yes - at least on the label side. There's no ink to smudge if you touch the label surface of a LightScribe disc, and the disc should not be hot or in any other way dangerous when you remove it. As with any CD or DVD, though, try to avoid touching the data side of the disc to prevent damaging it.
