Mixcraft Won't Load The Sound

There are many different types of sound file formats. Mixcraft currently supports the following formats:

  • Wave (.WAV & .AIF)
  • MP3
  • OGG
  • WMA
  • FLAC

In addition, Mixcraft will work with the Window's Audio Compression Manager (ACM) to load compressed Wave files, other than PCM.

And of course, Mixcraft can load MIDI files as well.

If you're trying to load one of these file types, and you get a message about the audio file being corrupt:

1. If it doesn't load in other programs, the file may be corrupt.

2. If you can load the file into another program, you can try exporting from that program, and loading the new file into Mixcraft.

3. If the filename contains Unicode characters, Mixcraft may not be able to load it.  In that case, rename the file.
