Can I record 78 RPM records, even though my record player doesn't have a 78 speed?

With Spin It Again, you can recreate the original sounds of 78 RPM records with a record player that only supports 33 or 45 RPM. (This will also work for 16 /23 RPM records).

Here"s what you'll need to do:

1. First, make sure you've got Spin It Again 2.1 or higher. The latest version of Spin It Again is available here. There's no extra charge for registered users to update to version 2.

2. Set your record player to the closest speed to 78 RPM.

3. In Spin It Again, record the 78 RPM record. (It will sound odd, of course.)

4. On the "Preview & Edit" screen change the "Recording Speed Adjustment" setting to the appropriate setting and the recording will play back at the correct speed. For example, if you recorded a 78 RPM record at 45 RPM, choose the setting called "78.3 recorded at 45 RPM."

5. That's it! Now you can finish previewing and editing your recording, entering the track information and burning to CD and/or creating audio files.
